Like all of you Idealists, we love a designer discount. And with January sales well and truly upon us, we’ve been searching online to see what great-looking pieces we can pick up this week.
If you’re starting the new year with a resolution to create a beautiful home you’re proud of, now’s the best chance to pick up a bargain. Maybe it’s something as simple as fresh bedding to revive your bedroom. Or perhaps some new martini glasses to brighten up your kitchen…

Our favourite finds from the January sales
We absolutely love the design of this orange and slate duvet cover set (£21.00 - £42.00) which is also available in a similarly funky green and grey (or citrine and smoke, as JL would have it!).
These dining chairs for £79 are pretty lovely too - and have the look of something far more expensive we reckon. They're made of oak and come fully assembled. The seat is a leather-look PU. Best of all, they match a whole host of other pieces in the Enza range, from dining tables to cabinets and sidetables.
How about this oak and walnut sideboard to match? We love the curved edges on this one and the dinky feet. Very retro! £399. And thankfully it comes assembled! No more Allen keys here thank you very much!
This Chesterfield sofa is 20% off when you order it with special fabrics. Personally we love the charcoal and the putty, but then we always fall for the colours of the season. Speaking of falling, how about that amazing William Morris Strawberry Thief wallpaper in the background? Amazing. £799-879.
Yes, we know the party season is over, but we couldn't pass these martini glasses in jewel-like neon colours by and being reduced from £30 to £15, they're not going to break the bank.
Speaking of not breaking things, we're doing Dry January was well -- that's right - Dry Martini, Dry Gin, Dry White Wine...
We love all things Orla Kiely and these espresso cups are no exception. Reduced from £60 to £42 they have the distinctive Orla Kiely motif and come in four classic retro colours that are bang on trend. Made of bone china, we think they'd make a great addition to any stylish kitchen.
